Heal Waterways, Revive Meadows
Much of the American West has been overexploited and degraded. Range conditions are almost universally poor. Waterways are trampled, have lost their vegetation, and turned into gullies, draining once moist meadows as the water table falls. Forests have been stripped and then allowed to grow back in overcrowded spindles ready for massive fires. The Oregon Natural Desert Association offers many opportunities for volunteers to help rehabilitate waterways.
